On the Fly is a project we have a great deal of passion for but at the same time we don't want to put out a less than superior product. That is the reason it's taken much longer than we would have liked to get the podcast up and running. However, we've been working hard on many fronts, especially the podcast. We wanted to give you a brief update and let you know what we are planning.

The trailer is actually coming along and we've been in front of the microphone recording the initial takes. Currently, we are editing this trailer and working on some extra bits and retakes for that. This trailer will give you a taste of what is to come. As soon as we are happy with it, we will release it here on the site! We are also lining up some more guest interviews and we still need your stories of fly fishing adventures. These stories will make up the bulk of the podcast content. What's better than some fishing stories combined with some editing and sound effects!

We are also planning on another feature which will be found here on the Journal and our social media accounts. We want to feature a single species of fish that can be targeted on the fly, each Friday. This will introduce you to new fish that you can try and get on the end of your line. This feature will not be limited to fresh water or any geographic region. We will be looking for fish from all over the world. Now comes the interactive part. You can help us pick the featured fish for the upcoming week. And we will have some kind of contest to give away a drawing of the fish species each week to one of you. We are still working out all the details, but stayed tuned. We hope to launch this feature this Friday.
